Old Lazy Dog brings a different view of faith, life, and the struggles we face in the marketplace and our day to day lives…while we strive to go deeper in our faith walk, put our faith to work, and see God at work around us on a daily basis.

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” - 1 Peter 2:24 NIV

The garden… not my will but Yours… the soldiers… the betraying kiss… the trials… the beatings and mocking… denial... the rooster crows… the whip… the nails… the cross… the death… the burial.

Fear...trembling... waiting for what will come next... how could this be?... everything changed.

Three days…

The stone rolled away... the guards frightened and gone... the tomb empty... empty... EMPTY!

“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen...”

HE HAS RISEN INDEED!

Everything changed...

The true message and blessing of Easter... “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

May you and yours have a great Good Friday, and a blessed and renewing Easter.

Keep the Faith... Carpe Diem

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” - Romans 5:6-8 ESV
