Infiltrate
“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.”” - Luke 9:23-24 NIV
Four days after Easter now... as we continue to focus on Jesus after the Crucifixion and the Resurrection, let’s wrap our hearts and minds on what it truly means to be a Disciple of Jesus. Focus on what it truly means to be a Follower of Jesus. Not just by words that come from our lips and tongues, but by action and deed. Let’s truly begin to live out what we say we believe.
This may be the most powerful description and charge I have seen for being a Disciple of Christ… a Follower of Jesus.
May we all have Him infiltrate our very being… our words… our choices… our actions. Let’s allow Him to infiltrate all that we are. Infiltrate what we will NOT do, and infiltrate what we will do - what we will do in our day to day life.
Moment by moment, breath by breath
All for His glory. All in the name of Jesus.
INFILTRATE
“I'm a part of the fellowship of the unashamed.
I have Holy Spirit power.
I've stepped over the line.
The decision has been made.
I'm a disciple of His.
I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure.
I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth-knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, worldly-talking, cheap-giving, and dwarf goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, position, promotion, applause, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded.
I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience. I am uplifted by prayer and labour in power.
My pace is set. My gait is fast. My goal is Heaven. My road is narrow. My way is rough. My companions are few. My God reliable. My mission is clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of my adversaries, negotiate at the table of my enemy, or ponder at the pool of popularity.
I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I've stayed up, stored up, prayed up, preached up for the cause of Christ.
I am a disciple of Jesus...”
