Pray 7:14
Last year, I was honored to be asked to do the opening prayer for the National Day of Prayer at the top of the Florida Capitol... and to hear the faith-filled words and prayers of the Governor, the Florida Cabinet and a number of State Senators and Representatives.
This year, it feels even more important for us all to take and make time to find our knees and pray. To not only pray for our state, our country, and our leadership as we continue to face this pandemic, but to pray for a renewal and a revival in our hearts, in our nation, in our world. To pray that God is somehow glorified through all this and Jesus is sought and found, and trusted, accepted, believed.
I pray that we, the followers of Christ, will humble ourselves and pray and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways... I pray that we will find our way back to Him, be renewed and revived, and will in turn, lead the way and shine our light for the world to see and know Him.
“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” - 2 Chronicles 7:14
