Rest and Renew

The Lord is my shepherd; 
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows; 
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths, 
bringing honor to his name.”

After 9 days of dealing with a nasty infection that has blown up in my calves, ankles and feet, I find today’s passage almost screaming in my ear… and heart of hearts.

A much needed reminder of the peace He brings and the strength He renews when ours is all but gone.

Let’s praise the Lord for the rest that He brings and for the peace that He offers. 

Praise Him for His Word and for allowing us to rest in Him and that Word.

Praise Him for calming our spirit and calming our nerves.

Praise Him for renewing our strength so that we can soar with the eagles and bring honor to His name.

Praise the Lord for who He is and for all that He has done, and all He is yet to do.

Praise the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever.
