Stand Anew
“Even now—this is the Lord’s declaration—turn to Me with all your heart,
with fasting, weeping, and mourning.
Tear your hearts,
not just your clothes,
and return to the Lord your God.
For He is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger, rich in faithful love,
and He relents from sending disaster.”
~ Joel 2:12-13 HCSB
A message for us today as much as it was a message for Joel’s Old Testament days and times.
A call to repentance. A call to stand anew with the Lord.
Repent and stand in the light (and with the Light) for such a time as this.
While there is still time…
For those of us who consider ourselves Christians, Believers and/or Followers of Jesus, it’s time to stop hiding in the dark and time to find our voices and find our heart.
It’s time for us to put down our past and allow it to be washed away.
Washed anew.
Washed white as snow.
It’s time for us to proclaim the glory and the power of the Lord.
Time for us to choose His ways and His path while standing at the proverbial crossroads.
Time for us to give Him our hearts once again.
What is He calling us to repent of, to turn from, to give over to Him?
What is it that has a stronghold over us that only He can remove?
It’s time for us to fall to our knees in repentance, and stand strong with the Lord.
Stand anew - while there is still time…
