Choices - Thoughts After a Violent Act
“This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” - Jeremiah 6:16 NIV
This morning, as I dwell on the Friday evening’s shooting in Tallahassee and pray for the survivors and for the families and friends of those lost... And pray for and about the upcoming gubernatorial and mid-term election... these thoughts/prayers comes to mind:
Choices allow us to love or hate... help us choose love.
Choices allow us to choose right or wrong... help us choose right.
Choices allow us to choose the light or the dark.... help us choose light.
Choices allow us to choose between good and bad... help us choose good.
Choices allow to choose between good and best... help us choose best.
Choices allow us to choose You... help us draw near to You.
O Lord... We give you thanks and praise for allowing us to make our own choices, as selfish and as heartless as we sometimes can be.
O Lord... Help us choose wisely.
O Lord... Help us choose Your paths and Your ways.
O Lord... Help us see as You see, live as You lived, love as You love.
O Lord...As we stand at the crossroads as a community, as a state, as a nation, help us choose You.
Keep the Faith... Carpe Diem
