A Call to Repentance
“That is why the Lord says,“Turn to me now, while there is time.
Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.
Don’t tear your clothing in your grief,
but tear your hearts instead.
”Return to the Lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He is eager to relent and not punish.” - Joel 2: 12-13 NLT
A message for us today, Election Day at that, as much as it was a message for Joel’s Old Testament days and times.
Repent and stand a new with the Lord.
Repent and stand in the light (and with the Light) for such a time as this.
As Believers and Followers of Jesus, it’s time for us to stop hiding in the dark and time for us to find our voice and find our heart.. Time for us to put down the past and allow it to be washed away. Washed anew. Washed white as snow.
Time for us to allow our hearts to turn back to God, to fall in love with Him again.
And time for us to proclaim the glory and the power of the Lord.
And it’s time for us to choose His ways while standing at the crossroads. Time for us to give Him our hearts again.
What is He calling you to repent of, to turn from, to give over to Him? What is it that has a stronghold over you that only He can remove?
What's keeping us from loving Him, worshiping Him, praying to Him again?
On our knees repenting, standing strong with the Lord.
Keep the Faith... Carpe Diem.
