Today... Let’s Sing!

Sing to the Lord a new song.
Sing a song sweet to His ears.
Sing a song of His greatness and wonder.
Sing a song and He will hear.

When we were children we could just sing songs. Just make them up as we went along and sing the song that was engrained in our heart. The tune didn’t matter. Our ability to sing didn’t matter. We just sang loud and strong. And our joy showed through that silly made up song.

I still remember some of the made up
songs I use to sing.

As adults, we’ve forgotten what it means to sing. We’ve forgotten how it feels to sing. To sing loud and strong a new song. We’ve forgotten the joy... we’ve allowed the world (or ourselves) to stifle our song.

Today, let’s sing of the Lord’s unfailing love. Sing of His faithfulness.

Sing a new song... a hymn of praise to our God.
