Old Lazy Dog brings a different view of faith, life, and the struggles we face in the marketplace and our day to day lives…while we strive to go deeper in our faith walk, put our faith to work, and see God at work around us on a daily basis.

Dr. Martin Luther King once said, “All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence."

In other words, we are to glorify God in what we do and how well we do it.

All that being said, what if we take a moment and change our perspective a bit, and try to look at it a little differently... changing our focus from what we do to our Provider, and what He does?

What if we took a moment to praise God for His provision?

What if we stop, take a breath and praise Him for how He always seems to give us exactly what we need, right when we need it?

What if we praise Him for His grace and forgiveness?

Praise Him for the love He gives and the hope provides?

What if we praise Him for how He is Immanuel, God with us... for there is no place we can go where He is not?

What if we praise and worship the one who never fails to make good on His promises in His timing?

What if we praise and worship the one who is always at work, ordering the steps of His people, even when we can’t see it?

What if we stop and take notice of what He does and how well He does it…

What if we truly strive to glorify Him in what we do and how well we do it?

What if we take a moment and praise Him, thank Him, worship Him?

For He is good and worthy of our praise!

“You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.”
- Psalm 139:1-12 NIV
